» Satellite Training
The Friend 2 Friend Satellite Training Program is an intensive training program where other non-profit organizations may become certified to deliver the Friend 2 Friend Autism Demystification programs (Puppet Presentation and Simulation Game Presentations) in their local area.
To become an official service provider of the Friend 2 Friend Programs in your area, you must be part of, or sponsored by, a well-established registered non-profit society. Organizations interested in this training must meet the following criteria:
- Sponsored by or a federally registered non-profit society
- Operating for more than 5 years
- Currently offering outreach services in the community
- Have a volunteer board of directors
- Have 4 highly qualified paid or volunteer trainees
- Able to travel to Vancouver to undergo training
The training process consists of 4 highly qualified trainees completing the following steps:
- Pre-training Evaluation
- Seminar Training
- On-site Training
- Field Work
- Evaluation
The process for becoming a certified Friend 2 Friend service provider takes approximately one year to complete.
